IMPORTANT INFORMATION

A GEDCOM file is a special genealogy data exchange file that can be created by and imported into most genealogy computer programs and NOT useable in a word processing program. If you do not have a genealogy computer program with GEDCOM capabilities, you will need a special program to view the GEDCOM files. Click here for some sources for PC and Mac freeware programs to view GEDCOMs.

Following are my most-requested GEDCOMs. All have been checked for viruses and have been compressed in self-extracting archives for either the PC or Mac. Click on the appropriate version for your computer (PC or Mac) and you'll be taken to the download page.

Once you have downloaded the compressed file onto your hard drive or desktop, just double click on the downloaded file and it will automatically expand to a usable GEDCOM file for viewing or importing.

I plan to add additional GEDCOM files from time to time (please feel free to e-mail me to suggest some).

NONE OF THE GEDCOMS BELOW CONTAIN THE ENTIRE DATABASE. If you need a GEDCOM of another family in my database that is not in one of the downloadable GEDCOMs below, e-mail me and I'll email you a GEDCOM of the line(s) you want. However, please be specific on which family/pedigree you want (name of ancestor and if you want his/her ancestors and/or descendents).
